I began my training with the Chelmsford office of Moores Rowland, a top 20 accountancy firm, in 1993. Working mainly within audit, I gained experience of many different industries, as well as benefitting from secondments to the tax, business services and even insolvency departments. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2000, I left practice to work within commercial environments as varied as recruitment, retail, transport and construction. During my time in Industry, I have assisted private owners achieve their exit plans by selling businesses on. Whilst at East London Bus Group, a £250m turnover entity, I initially assisted in the purchase of the company from Stagecoach Group by an Australian investment bank, then served on the Board of Directors post-sale. In my time at PIP, I have overseen a period of rapid growth, turnover increasing from £13m in 2009 to almost £40m in 2015.

 

In 2016, I joined Westgate Accounting with the intention of expanding my wife's already established business.

 

Outside of work, my time is filled attending to a young family, attempting to keep fit through running and cycling, and watching a game of football or two.
